Yay! Happy birthday to Deonie! That looks like a very tasty birthday can of tuna. But the hand holding it is creepy indeed... alien-like, one might say.

It is a creepy hand. Maybe it's some sort of weird supplicatey type gesture to the all-powerful birthday cat (who does look a bit like he lords it over everyone).
