Assorted Thoughts From Today

1. I really like paprika chips. I don't like any chips at all, but I absolutely love paprika chips. I could eat them all day. Oh, and corn chips too, but only really in a nacho-related setting.

2. I have some magical psychological link with F. Murray Abraham. I borrowed some movies from the library the other day, and, coincidentally, the two english-languagey ones both had F. Murray Abraham as the baddie. Spooky.

3. No, that's all.

Do you get IBU chips in swizzyland? I think they're a german brand - I remember way back from my childhood and the summers spent with the family in germany. I still go to the local Aldi once in a while and pick up a bag. They have the most fantastic paprika chips.

- and good movies those two. Did you get the directors cut of Amadeus?

I don't think they have any paprika chips at all in Australia (I had certainly never seen them prior to spending some time in Switzerland), and I don't know what brand the ones we just ate were. They were in an orange packet, if that helps (and not from Aldi, because we have no Aldi).

The Amadeus I have here is the director's cut. I haven't actually watched it yet, but I have fond memories of watching it zillions of times in my childhood. As it turns out the library here is this excellent repository of old movies that everyone should have seen (most of which seem to have english subtitles, which is handy). I watched Harold and Maude yesterday, which was really quite lovely.

P.S. You can buy them in Migros AND Coop. For once they have the same brand.
